Last minute thoughts

Hi everyone- I've been reading this forum for months. We are leaving in less than a week.

Our trip goes something like this:

Flying into Liberia-renting an SUV

Driving to the Arenal volcano area and spending 3 nights.

Zip lining and canyoning are on the agenda with a tour. Hiking around the volcano we can do on our own, correct?

Favorite places to eat around this area????

Driving to JW Marriott (Guanacaste)

We need reservations to do a 'couple more adventurous things. Suggestions??? ATV is on older children's list. Can an under 16 year old ride with a licensed driver? And white water rafting on the list also. Suggestions???

Dinner suggestions for this area?

What are some little towns in both areas to do some shopping for the girls and Mom?

Casual dress is the norm?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Yes you can absolutely hike in Arenal National Park by yourself...take Sendero Ceiba...that's our favorite trail in the park. :-)

Our favorite places to eat are: La Choza de Laurel, Lava Lounge and Don Rufinos...all are on the main road through town.

Casual for sure.....my "standard" dress is a tank top, comfy crop pants and flip flops. :-) For a nice dinner out.....sundress and flip flops. :-)

Hope this helps!

You should try surfing!

Kelly's Surf Shop is the number 1 rated surf shop in Tamarindo on Trip Advisor, and for good reason. Give them a shout.
