flights in and out of vic falls international are expensive..
i'd try livingstone out of Zambia... short drive across the border to save $$
How long does it take to get to the Livingstone airport from the Victoria Falls Hotel?
Does the Univiza allow multiple border crossing?
If the Univiza is not available, what viza can be obtained to get to the Zambia Airport?
How soon do you have to be at the airport before your flight (one hours, two hours)?
You could check if fast jet is flying out on that day..... low cost airline but very reliable and really affordable . You could pay about 50 % of the quoted rate. Another alternative besides Zambia is to fly ex Kasane Airport to Jhb.
I hope this helps.

i landed at livingstone (Zambia) and after leaving the airport it was approx 50-60 min to my hotel in vic falls (zimbabwe)... this includes driving time and border crossings...
this would change depending on how busy the border is...
kasane (botswana) is about a 90-120 minutes drive so also an option...
What kind of visa did you get?
If the uni visa is not available then you'll need a single entry visa for Zambia, $50.
Thank you all!
That price sounds about right.
As Forche Tours said, try to look into Fast Jet website as well its reliable and their prices are low. If you opt to land in Livingstone remember you will have to pay for the transfer from airport to the border plus you will have to cross two borders and your passport will be stamped 3 times the first time when you land, second time when you leave Zambia and third time when you enter Zimbabwe.
Most companies will charge you between $30 and $40 per person from Livingstone airport to Victoria Falls hotels.
All the best

Fast-jet charges about R2500 - R3000 for JHB - Vic Falls, very cheap.
