Have anyone applied for an Iran e-visa through the following link:

It seems that this is operated by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iran. If this works, I need not get an Letter of Invitation which seems difficult to get. Thanks in advance.

we have some passengers who reported us that they applied via this site but they didn't get any reply.

the best idea is that to apply via travel agency which takes at least 7days or get VOA.

It is still new, seems very glitchy and doesn't allow the visa the be collected from entire continents. I would just stick to the VOA for the time being until they can fully sort it out.

For many years the e-visa was supposed to start issuing to ease this process which never happened seriously.

If your nationality is among the ones allowed to get VOA, as it seems you are, fly to Iran and get a 15-day one (sometimes 30-days) at the airport without you need the letter of invitation.

You can extend it in Iran.
