Mt Sorak daytrip from Seoul?

Hey all,

Can I do Mt Sorak as a daytrip from Seoul? I've had a look at the bus schedule, and it seems to take 3 hours. Is there a train? I couldn't find one. Can anyone recommend a tour that does Mt Sorak? or is there a way I can do it by myself?

Thanks!

it is possible to do 1 day hiking to seorksan and return to seoul (i didn;t do it) , but hiking time is about 4-5 hours.

early in morning and you can finish hiking at 1500 pm

when you arri\ve to sokcho...? you need another 40 minutes bus.(or maybe there are direct buses seoul-seoraksan nature reseve....i don't know about that)

No train. It's not a good idea to go to Mt Sorak just for a daytrip. go there at least 1N2D.

Thank you for your help. Is there a direct bus that goes from Sokcho to Gyeongju? I'm a bit confused by the maps of that area.

Go to Pohang or Dong-Daegu from Sokcho bus terminal by bus, then trasfer a bus for Gyeongju.
