Wet season in Singapore

I plan to visit Singapore as part off traveling around asia in November but hear this is the wet season. How bad will it be should i be put off and avoid this time off year.

And also how many nights is recommended to see the main sights in the city? And any ideal location to stay in?

Stay at one of the Nicer hostel in town & U can save $$ & stay Longer :D

Hostel like Bunc @ Radius Clarke Quay, constantly have good review & this is their latest branch in Singapore. More Hostel options here:

Average I would suggest 5 day to see most of the Main attractions. 1 more Day if U intend to spend whole day at Universal Studios Singapore.

Weather in Singapore does not vary vastly during the year. It can rain on any day of any month. Nov-Jan period is a bit wetter than other parts of the year, but it does not rain to such an extent as to cause major disruption to your sightseeing plans. (Its very rare for rains to last more than 2 hours in a day). Weather need not be a concern in planning your Singapore trip. Keeping a folding umbrella with you should be enough to handle an odd shower, that you may encounter.

Jay300,

This forum is a great place to collect valuable information to plan your stay in the Lion City. You will meet people from different places - locals and visitors from different countries - all willing to share with you their knowledge and experience of this destination.

Note these contributors are volunteering to spend some of their time to provide hints, tips and advices so you can enjoy your stay. Please feel free to squeeze a small "Hello" and "Thanks" in your questions; this would be greatly appreciated and won't take you much of your time.

Nov is as good as any time of the year. When it rains it gets cooler and you can pack more day time activities in. Sometimes it pours but sometimes it jus drizzle. Anyway unless you are really unlicky otherwise it should not be pouring throughout your stay in Singapore. Otherwise there are still loads of indoor stuff you can do :)

If it rains in Singapore it rains in many other parts of South East Asia too. Depends on your itinerary. East coast of Malaysia can be affected by the monsoon n some islands there may not be accessible. Singapore rain is nothing here as we are pretty much sheltered.
