Traveling with kids to romania-good idea?

I am traveling with an 8 year old and a one year old to romania, including bucharest and oradea, in July. What is the availability of kid friendly things and food, and also diapers? I understand that Romania is a modern, european country, and have traveled europe before, but am trying to get an idea about what toexpect in Romania.

Any one with insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Beside what said Gabrielle, u can find baby dippers at any convenience store ( next to any appartment building, stations, everywhere).

It is absolutely safe. U can find special food, milk and juices in those convenience stores or if not at the more modern supermarkets (local stores). Pharmacies ( Farmacie in Romanian)have everyhting for your kids, too and they are all over. English language will not be a problem since most of the labels (99%) are written in English, too.

U will not find many restooms with tables where u can change the dipers (in restaurants) so u have to improvise. Same for trains- no dipper tables.

I am a bit late, but romania is very kid friendly, especially in the summer. you will find tons of outdoor parks for them to play in, you can easily find EVERYTHING you need for your children, including your 1 year old. farmacie is where you can buy diapers one at a time, pacifiers, etc. but plenty of big stores have them too. just if you are in a smaller place look for the farmacies.
