Pacaya Volcano ?s

Feb 25, 2017, 10:23 PM

Hello, my boyfriend and I are planning on doing a tour ran by Santa Teresita that picks us up from Antigua, takes us on a hike up the pacaya volcano, and then over to their spa. I was wondering what type of clothing people would recommend for hiking the volcano. Apparently the volcano part of the tour is only supposed to take three hours. Does it get very cold at the top of the volcano? Do you need winter clothing? Thanks for any advice or information!

The wind can be cold at the top but it won't be below freezing. I would bring a sweater and windbreaker or rain jacket. If you have one, I would consider a warm hat but you would probably be okay without one as you aren't up at the top for long.
