we have heard that it took 19 hours to fly home, can anyone let me no if thats the case,
Going out, left Manc at 11:45 Sun (1h late) and landed in Sanya at 12:45 Mon = 25h - 7h = 18h total.
Route had us go over north europe before heading south through Turkey and then the full lenght of Iraq into Bahrain. The route to sanya appeared to be direct east over Pakistan, india, Bangladesh before entering into Chinese airspace.
Coming back we left Sanya at 14:30 Mon (1h15 late) and landed at Manc smack on midnight Mon Nt. Therefore 9h30 + 7h to put your watches back to blighty time = 16h30min.
We did come back a different way, Sanya - Bahrain similar to going out, but Bahrain to Manc had us go over Saudi, before turning through central europe over Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany & Holland.
Suppose it can be different every time?
Steve
