Palace Court Buffet/Caesars...anyone try it?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has been to the new and hopefully improved Caesars buffet.

I will be there the last week of Feb. and plan on trying it. I will be posting a review when I return.

Very sleek, very clean. Not that Roman flea market atmosphere it used to be. Good variety of food. Also learned that the staff had a 2 week course on customer service...and it shows.

Just ate there last night and were very disappointed. The atmosphere is better but the food quality is worse except for the desserts. Even the mashed potatoes tasted like paste. Less obtainable salad ingredients (do not even know what was in the tall buckets because no signs or spoons and a shield preventing access).

We used to like their old lunch buffet more than last night's dinner buffet.

Why the $35 price tag??

Much prefer even the Gold Nugget's buffet!

I'm with casinomom2, I was hoping it would be better but alas same old food served in a brand new room. They actually turned the oysters side ways and stuck them down in the ice, YUK. I was at Harrahs last week and the crab was better then normal, they seem to be a larger version and were just incredibly tasty. Prime rib was fork tender, salmon always fresh. Harrahs buffet hasn't missed a beat during the slow season.

Wow...that's so disappointing to hear. I really don't know what the hell CET is thinking. How hard is it to cook decent, tasty food? It doesn't have to be gourmet (although for that price maybe it should be) just good food.

If you have a CET coupon or comp, definitely go to Harrahs instead.
