Takayama Itinerary

We are coming from Los Angeles and are looking at an itinerary..can someone help me with travel distances? Do any of these look 2 short or two long? Worried about the travel all the way to Hiroshima but my kids really want to go. Are the trains easy? We are coming March 26-April 8th.

We are worried that Kyoto is going to be so crowded...

Tokyo 2 nights (to get acclimated)

Takayama 2 nights

Kyoto 4 nights

Hiroshima Miyajima 1 night

tokyo 3 more nights before going home
