I'm planning on travelling from tioman Island to Senai airport july 13th to travel to kk at 7pm. There's a ferry from tioman at 9 arriving mersing 11/1130. I plan to take the bus from mersing to JB. But I plan to get off at Ulu Tiram and take a taxi to Senai airport to save time and avoid the city. Does anyone know if taxi or grab from Ulu Tiram to Senai is possible? Rome2rio says its only 20m ride.

It's possible, but I'm not sure it's that worthwhile as Ulu Tiram is relatively close to JB in any case.
You are almost guaranteed a Grab if you go all the way into JB, less so in Ulu Tiram.
The Ulu Tiram bus station has a taxi rank, so that would be your best bet there, rather than Grab (but try Grab first for a few minutes, in any case.)
Thank you for response. I thought getting a taxi from Ulu Tiram would save us time as it is north of Johor and the airport is also north of Johor. So we could avoid going in and out of the city. But maybe i should try to contact a local taxi company to make sure we can arrange.
Yes, that would be a surer way as there's always a risk when hailing a taxi that they will give you "tourist prices", though of course many are honest, too.
