Weather - Playa Blanca

I'm headed to Riu in Playa Blanca in a week. All weather reports are saying rain and thunderstorms...is this all day or just like a thunderstorm once a day for an hour or so? Getting really worried! Thanks

Any day, any time of year, the weather reports will call for rain and thunderstorms. In Panama, there are no local weather forecasts. Even during the dry season, you can expect a rain shower or brief thunderstorm or two. In the rainy season, you can expect them to be more frequent and last a little longer. The Pacific coast in that area is usually pretty dry -- even during the rainy season. If you go to El Valle or into the city, you can expect more rain.
