Trip to Darjelling and Gangtok

Hi,

We are taking trip to Sikkim from 25th August to 31st August.

We have hotel bookings from 25th to 28th (morning) at Darjelling and 28th to 31st (morning) at Gangtok.

We are 5 adults and 1 kid of 2.5 years. So, we can't travel long distance.

One place is must - Tiger Hill, also exclude 25th and 31st for trip days.

Can you please help me in planning the trip.

25th - NJP / IXB to Darjeeling. Stroll around Mall in the Evening.

26th - Early morning trip to Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. Post breakfast at Keventar's / Glenary's, go for Full Day Sightseeing

27th - Take the Morning Joy Ride. Post that you may either visit Mirik as a day trip else spend the day in leisure strolling around Mall.

28th - Darjeeling to Gangtok. Stroll around M.G.Marg in the evening.

29th - Gangtok Full Day Sightseeing

30th - Trip to Tsongmo Lake, Baba Mandir.

31st - Gangtok to NJP / IXB

NOTE : Nathulla Pass is closed on Monday's and Tuesday's. So you have already booked hotels and I don't have the scope to change anything there, you have to miss it. But don't bother much, as chances are it'll not be accessible anyway in August due to weather.

Another thing, I must mention here, that August being monsoon, it will be rainy up there. So be prepared with monsoon specific clothes and mentality to accept the same :)

Finally, though you are emphasizing on Tiger Hill, which is a must visit in Darjeeling, you might not even get a glimpse of the same what you might have seen in images and videos in August for the same reason being monsoon.

But, this is not to demoralize you, but to just inform you. But last but not the least everything depends on your luck, as no one can predict the weather :)

Happy travelling :)
