Hello and yes if you can add another night at the lodge. Its stunning spot! Otherwise you could look at St Lucia, good time of year for the chance of seeing turtles. Not sure what other plans you have, or flight time out of Durban, but you can self drive the Eastern & Western Shores in the iSimangaliso Wetlands, a short drive from St Lucia.

Any of the beach towns like Mtunzini and Umhlanga. Check a map - there’s not much. Mtunzini has a rare Palm Nut Vulture colony and is a nice little town. My favorite quiet beach is Zinkwazi or you can golf and beach at Zimbali and Princes Grant.
Are you sure you do not want to stay in Durban? We loved the sort of commercial park where you can dive or snorkel with sharks and a lot more. We had a marvelous time with so much to do in Durban. Then it was just about 4 hours to our safari site.-maybe less.
In Durban, we used Air B&B and it was the most delightful place of our entire trip. I would need to look up the man's name, but breakfast prepared by his parents was marvelous and the set apart lil studio apartment. was filled with quotations and ninities.
