Lodge for a family of 4 for 2 nights

Can someone recommend a lodge in a private game reserve (after doing a self drive in Kruger) for a family of 4 for 2 nights and not too expensive (max £150 per person)?

Thanks

Hey there!

How old are the children?

Check out Gomo Gomo Game Lodge, one of my favorite go to lodges for families. Great value for money, and a really fantastic all inclusive traditional safari experience. And the best part is that it fits in the budget! :)

Hi Jacqui,

Thanks for the quick reply. The children are 22 and 20 :), hence it would be 4 adults. Any other suggestions beside Gomo Gomo?

Thanks

Hey Jimmy!

You are very welcome!

Oh! Well that changes it completely :) You are then open to basically any of the lodges, yipeee!

I was just thinking children friendly ones.

Some other great good value lodges are;

- Elephant Plains (Sabi Sands)

- Africa on Foot (Klaserie)

- nDztui Safari Camp (Klaserie)

- Cheetah Plains (Sabi Sands)

It would also depend on the time of year you are coming (as rates differ) and where you will be exiting the Kruger, as some lodges may be closer than others etc :)

Thanks, Jacquie. We're planning to come around Easter 2014, driver over from Joburg, spend 3 nights at Lower sabie rest camp first, also take the panoramic router either before or after the Safaris. Then splash out at a private game reserve for 2 nights (within a budget).

Then drive back to Joburg before flying out to Cape Town to chill for a few days. The "kids" would like some activities beside just scenary - perhaps some water sports.

Any recommendations to the game reserve or suggestions for our iterinary?

Hi jim2006,

You can also consider Arathusa in the Sabi Sands, Simbavati River Lodge in Timbavati and Nthambo Tree Camp in Klaserie in addition to Jacquis great suggestions.

Good luck. Enjoy!
