dolphins and whales

Hello, around 15th of MArch we will be spending a few days between Uvita and Drake Bay. We would like to buy " whales and dolphins tour". Would it be possible to see whales at that time of the year? And where is the best place to sea whales and dolphins? Or only dolphins if whales are not present ? Could you Guys recommend any place and tour operator?

Thanks in advance :-)

The best tour operator in Drake Bay for whales and dolphins is Divine Dolphin. It is they only tour they do, their specialty, and they have been doing it there for 27 years. https://divinedolphin.com

Thanks for the link Shari. I find it interesting that we often hear complaints about the tour prices in Costa Rica. $120.00 ifor a half day tour seems quite reasonable to me.. A whale watching tour from Vancouver BC Canada is closer to $200.00 and does not include lunch or any extras. Of course that is Canadian dollars and it does include a guarantee that you will see whales. If not you can go out again any time within 1 year for just taxes and fees.

Yes, it included lunch and snorkeling and that particular tour uses a lot of gasoline because the boat is running all day, so yes, the price is reasonable!
