Joshua Tree Park loop from the North

How much time do we need for the loop if we enter the park in the town of Joshua Tree, then do the loop and exit the park in 29 Palms. Thank you!

From visitor center to visitor center is about 34 miles inside the park. If just driving thru ,plan for 1-1.5 hours.

If you want to get out and do or see anything add more time.

About 2h time if you want to get out and look around and take some pictures. If you go for hikes or walks then you need at least few hours. I am guessing you are simply driving by with few stops to take pictures. 2h is plenty. Hope this helps.

Is the Joshua Tree drive better entering from the north (Joshua tree city) or the South (Coachella City)?

Thank you
