Winery visits while at Crane Festival

Hi: We'll be attending the Lodi Crane Festival this weekend, and want to do a few "side trips" to wineries. Suggestions please! I love small and funky, and I love zinfandel. Thanks!

We enjoyed tasting at Jesse's Grove. The Visitor's Center has lots of great info about the area and you can wine taste there also. Have fun! :).

Thank you, Syrahgirl. We ended up visiting only one winery, Jessie's Grove, which is wonderful! A beautiful space with history (and historical photos), but of course it's about the wine, which is excellent. We especially loved the roussanne/viognier blend, the chard, the carignane, and the ancient vines zin.

Glad you enjoyed it! Lodi wines need more recognition. This area produces some excellent Old Vine Zins. :).
