Santa Barbara for five days or explore around with baby?

Hi

First time travelling with our 11 month old baby meeting my brother in Santa Barbara for two days but we have a week to do what we want. Unsure as all new with baby thinking for flying into La (done before don't want again) go up to Santa Monica for a night or two and then across to Santa Barbara ? We love wine touring but know it's different now with baby in tow. Is 4 nights too much there ? Any suggestions? Will have car to explore!

Thanks

Are you going to fly into LAX? Santa Barbara is a two hour drive from there. Are you bringing your own car seat for your 11 month old or renting one from the car rental?

Where are you flying from? Santa Monica is a good place to get over jet lag.

4 nights is fine for Santa Barbara. One day for the beach & downtown, one day for the sights & photo ops....Mission, Courthouse, Zoo, Montecito Village etc,, one day drive to Ojai for the afternoon via Carpinteria-route 150.....another day up to Santa Ynez to visit the ranches, wineries and Solvang village. Bring a picnic on wine day. wandering-wino.com/blog/…
