Townsend Place

My travel agent has suggested Townsend place condos as a moderately priced place to stay. Anyone stayed there? I checked the 10 reviews on it--a couple said the furniture was worn and a lot of things didn't work. Any more suggestions of where we could stay? We are 4 adults and are looking for a 2 bedroom condo ski on/off.

Townsend Place is "moderate". Thats a polite word! All condos there are individually owned so there's no telling what the condition or furniture is like from one unit to the next. The big plus is location. You can ski in through Creekside Park. Ski-out goes to the Elkhorn lift which isn't the main part of the mountain, however, B.C. has regular shuttles which will whisk you from your front door right to the main chair area. If you do not need luxuries & amenities (front desk, restaurants, pool, hot-tubs etc) then TP will suit you fine. Check St. James Place, Borders Lodge & Kiva too.

You might check Beaver Creek Lodge. Great location.
