Beach construction

Hi All,

We are planning a trip to Anna Maria in mid April and are wondering about the beach construction project. We are tentatively planning on staying at the Cedar Cove Resort. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments?

Can't wait to visit --will be our first trip to Florida!!!

Beach construction is all complete except they are still working on Coquina Beach at the very southern tip. Have to be complete by the start of turtle season on May 1. All equipment has to be off the beach by then. Coquina Beach is the part of the island that doesn't have any condos or houses on beach, it is just public beach. It has been completed at Cedar Cove area for awhile now.

Has it affected the quality of the sand or the slope of the shore?

I didn't get on the beach in Holmes Beach but the Beach down by the Beachhouse Restaurant in Bradenton Beach is absolutely gorgeous. They did a tremendous job IMO.
