Help with hotel choice

We are trying to decide on 3 hotels in Vero. Hampton Inn,Surf club, Country Inn & Suites. Being directly on the beach is not important to us. Clean, comfortable, safe. Any help will be appreciated. 1bull

Surf Club is still operating. Check reviews. It has been struggling for some time.

The three hotels at the outlet mall, west side of I-95, should be fine (Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Country Inn). The Hampton is a bit interesting for creative landscaping--two tall clumps of bamboo at the front. Comfort Suites on the east side of I-95 opened fairly recently.

I-95 is something like a half-hour drive to the beach area and the road can become congested.

A new Hampton Inn is under construction near the beach (next to Publix) and there's a Spring Hill Suites in a wealthy, if dull area on north Indian River Blvd, close to US 1.

The beach itself has several good smaller places to stay. The little Sea Turtle Inn is in the beach's pedestrian shopping and restaurant area, Holiday Inn might be a bit noisy from Mulligan's restaurant/bar (older but seemingly well-maintained building). Farther south, the cluster of lodgings at South Beach is a quiet area (except for busy days at the beach park). Might look at South Beach Place and the newly renamed Prestige (formerly Aquarius).
