Can't say for sure, but they're associated with Indiana Down (horse racetrack) right? If so, the Indiana Downs website has a downloadable (PDF?) list of local hotels (which I presume might include distances), it can be found at:

indianadowns.com/main.asp…

Hope this helps,

hlo

Probably the nicest one would be the Hampton Inn. It's located at exit 113 , only 4 miles from the casino. There are no hotels at the exit where the casino is. While I have not actually stayed at that hotel (just stopped at the casino for a couple hours), a friend of mine has and said it was was nice. Other hotels at that exit are a Comfort Inn, Knights Inn and Super 8. There were a couple more but can't remember the names of them.

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK at the casino!

Thanks for the info, it helps me out a lot. Can you tell me anything about the Casino. Do they have blackjack tables, loose slots, good food etc?? Is it a large casino? We usually go to Shreveport, LA. We are from Texas and this is the closest Casino to us. I like the smaller casinos myself. Do they serve free drinks??

I have only been there once and that was quite awhile ago so things may have changed since then but I wasn't that crazy about the casino but I know a lot of people that love it. It's a bright and open casino where as I like the darker , more cozy ones and of course I am partial to my favorite casino , Four Winds in New Buffalo , MI.

It is a large casino though and I think there are around 2000 slots and they had a decent variety of them at the time. I didn't come home a winner though but then I usually lose everywhere I go. I am not positive but I think they only have the electronic blackjack tables. They do have live poker though.

There is a buffet, a steakhouse and a NASCAR grill. I didn't eat while I was there but I have heard good reports about the food, especially the NASCAR grill. No free "adult" beverages like in Tunica but they have self serve pop machines (or at least I saw one) in the casino.

The casino is really easy to get to. Just off the highway and you can see it from there. Have fun and hope you win lots of cash!! Not sure how long you'll be in the area but there is another casino near Indianapolis in Anderson, IN. It's just 25 miles or so NE of Indy. I think that one is smaller but I really liked it.
