Girls Night in May

Hello all!

I will be coming here in May for a little girls weekend. Looking for any and all recommendations on wineries, breweries, restaurants, anything to occupy our day and night!

Thanks!

Some of the favorite wineries are Round Barn ( they have beer and vodka tasting too) , Domaine Berrien, Other include Lemon Creek, Founders, Tabor Hill. Contessa, Karma Vista are close to Coloma. and are favs too . . Silver Beach Pizza for supper -- make a reservation for the less busy upstairs adult only section. Or the Buck , Rybelles , Papa Vinos are all great supper choices. Chocolate Cafe and Cafe Tosi's in downtown St Joe -- plus shopping at lots of cute shops. Go in the G&M Variety dime store -- such treasures! Walk on the Bluff , down by Silver Beach or on the Lighthouse Pier if its a nice day. You will have more than enough to do. Hope you have fun.

If you are driving, take I-94 east to the New Buffalo exit / Four Winds Casino.

Follow 239 / Harbor Country Dr northeast into New Buffalo. Turn right at the traffic light / US 12 east.

Go straight thru a traffic light, continue going north, on Red Arrow highway all the way to St Joe.

Art shops, cafe's, Antique shops, one of a kind- restaurants, garden shops, (Stop in "downtown" Sawyer, 1/2 mile to the right at a traffic light, watch for the sign) for one of the best "Garden" / wine, cooking etc etc shops you could ever find AND catch a bite to eat and / or have a drink. Jump back on Red Arrow and keep going north to St Joe. This drive alone could take all day!

You will not be disappointed, going to St Joe. More to see and do than a weekend can cover. Have fun!

You can also take Exit 4A off of I-94 and go 5 miles east into Three Oaks. Visiting all the things there could take another day. When you're done, go straight north on Elm St., which will turn into Three Oaks Rd, and you will end up back at Red Arrow Highway.

Following- I'm going to be in St. Joe in August for a girls weekend. We wanted to rent a pontoon boat, but I'm not easily able to find anything in town. I found one about 30 minutes away for a reasonable price if you're interested in that-boatbound.com or Pier 1000 rents them by day/half day.

We're planning to do a wine tour, there's one with a wagon (fun?) or normal bus. I've heard great things about Tabor Hill winery, it was recommended to me for dinner. Bike rentals, kayaking....

Hope you find some fun ways to spend the weekend, enjoy!

Silver Beach pizza and Clementine's Too restaurants are the best. Also The Natural Gem and Kilwin's Chocolate store is great too. If your looking for a fun Saugatuck's Dune Ride in Saugatuck, Michigan just north of St. Joe. That is an awesome ride. Right on Lake Michigan. We do all this when we stay in St. Joe for Holland's Tulip fest in Holland, MI. in May.
