Kid activities for a 13 yr old beside water sports

Wondering if there is enough to do and where so my daughter ( age 13) and I can spend two quality days together besides camping or water related activities. If so where should we stay and what can we do? the lower cost the activity the better

There's a place called Miner Mike's in Osage Beach. They have a lot of games - both electronic video games and things like air hockey. It's a good rainy day activity with kids.

There's also a lot of miniature golf and go-kart places throughout Osage Beach and Lake Ozark.

Renting a condo is the best bet for a place to stay. Check out vrbo.com - as there are many different options with different price ranges.

There's also a lot of older style "ma and pa" resorts. Check www.funlake.com for options.

Call Resort at Port Arrowhead in Osage Beach directly and see what price they can quote you for a room. It's a family "resort". They have a couple outdoor pools and an indoor pool. Mini golf and shuffle board that are in fair condition. In the summer they have some poolside activities. With some of their deals kids can eat free in the restaurant. I'm not saying this is the nicest resort, but it will help you stretch your dollar. We have stayed here and it is fine. (We also travel regularly to Mexico and the Caribbean.) Through the summer there is a good chance there will be kids there her age. Someone above mentioned Miner Mikes. My immature 13 yr old likes it. Most would not. One hint. If you go in the morning and buy the all day pass, you can return in the evening. The arcade part is overpriced as most are.

The entire Ozark area is full of mini golf, go-karts, bumper boats, arcades, lazer tag, bowling, ice cream shops, outlet mall, river boat cruise, etc. There are plenty of things to do. There are coupons around town.

Lauren, why do you keep asking the same question on 5 year-old threads?

And Osage Beach is in the Ozarks. It doesn't even make sense.

Ive never used this site. I wanted to make sure someone replied. Were moving from out of state. Im trying to decide if the city of Osage is better or the city of Ozarks. Based upon online the schools in Osage are better. I see its in Ozarks but confused the city line or if Ozarks is a party town? My friend lives in the Ozarks & said she didnt even know where Osage Beach was.

There is no city called Ozarks nor is there a city called Osage.

There is city in Missouri called Ozark (no "S"), and another city called Osage Beach. The Ozarks (with an "S") is a huge geographical region that encompasses several states. Both Ozark, MO and Osage Beach, MO are located in the vast region of the Ozarks. But the two cities are more than a hundred miles from each other.

Are you choosing between Ozark, MO and Osage Beach, MO? Or something else?
