Any suggestions for good restaurants in or around Concord?
What type of food and price range are you looking for?
Common Man on South Main.
Barley House on Main Street across from State House.
Moritomo for good Japanese and Sushi. It's in Fort Eddy Plaza near Shaw's.
Makris on Rte 106 just 1/8 of a mile north of Loudon Rd. Good seafood in a very homey atmosphere.
Nonni's Italian Restaurant in the Holiday Inn. This is definitely not Holiday Inn food. Great food, generous portions.
Siam Orchid on the corner of N. Main and Bridge Street.
These are my favorite places to go.
Are there one or two good Mexican restaurants in Concord?
Margaritas is a small chain (23 locations in NH, MA, ME, CT, and NJ) but the food is pretty good. I have heard the Concord location is in an old jail and is kind of cool. Have never been able to go because it opens at 4PM and if I am in Concord it is always lunch time.
There is also Hermanos but have never been been.Edited: 25 April 2012, 08:27
Margaritas is good and you will not be disappointed. But Hermanos is the place to go. Excellent food, more authentic. Good options beyond the usual burritos and enchiladas. They make the best garlic nachos appetizer.
Since i'm from the Southwest, i can say there are various types of Mexican food. I'm no gourmet, but I would not recommend any of the Margarita's for a Mexican dining experience.
Nonni's was wonderful, but it has closed.
Since this post was originally from Sept 2011, I hope they are still not looking for a good restaurant!
