1927 Inn at Lake Lure Water Park

Does anyone know if the waterpark associated with the 1927 Inn at Lake Lure (slides and activitis) are good for a 7 year old?

Yes, a seven year old would love it. Our six year old loves the water balloon bomb throwing thingy.

It is not a big water theme park it is a fenced in area of the "beach" with sand that featurs games, bumper boats, water slides and a little more.

I concur about the COLD water! And - have you been there before? The mountains are lovely but that place is VERY busy and always a lot of bikers there on the weekends.

Margaritagrill closed down a while ago, along with their little motel. While many bike enthusiasts still ride in the area to enjoy the scenic road, they are no longer stationed across the road from the beach. The new "hangout" is the Tiki Bar at the Geneva Motel which is located before you cross the bridge into Lake Lure.

The bikers have never been a problem that I know of and most of them are weekend riders.

We enjoy Lake Lure and visit a few times a month since we live pretty close. The traffic can get congested on the way to the lake, but once you are there I am sure you will enjoy the area. And yes, the water is chilly and takes a bit to get acclimated. LOL! Rent a pedal boat - those can be a blast! Enjoy your trip!
