Visiting for the first time just wondering where is the best place to park
Depends which part of Cleethorpes you are looking at.
There is plenty of street parking if you can find it but also plenty of paid parking.
Along the prom (can be busy) payable
Boating Lake area has a large carpark, payable
Off St.Peters Ave (Shopping area) Payable
Also follow signs for train station and there is a large carpark there. payable.
Can pay to park on the front, reasonable price and loads of spaces. Alternatively we usually park just outside the centre. If you are coming in from Grimsby you'll go along a relatively straight road passed the football ground and Mc Donalds. You will start to see cars parked on both sides take notes of the ones on the other side and when you get to a small roundabout do a u turn and park at the nearest one (don't block any drives). The front is about a 5 minute walk from the round about. If your in Cleethorpes and love fish and chips and want to eat in, go to Steels (be prepared to wait at busy times or book at least a day in advance). Alternatively Ernie Becketts opposite Steels does have a restaurant but also does a great take out.
cleethorpes has lots of shops especially along st peters ave and seaview street. as with all resorts their are plenty of amusements especially near the pier. obviously cleethorpes isnt as big a resort as skegness but in the summer it has plenty to offer.
Note to all holiday spots - Cleethorpes offer a wide choice of car parking spaces - at more than reasonable prices - circa £3.00 for up to 4 hours. They are situated from the station area - all around the front [ more or less ] to the Leisure centre & beyond. Certainly one of the the better holiday resort providers in my opinion. A very clean & pleasant coastal resort i.e. plenty of litter bins, sands cleaned with tractor & unit, & dogs only allowed in certain areas at certain times on the beach, wide promenade [ mostly pedastrianised], A credit to North east Lincolnshire & only a 50 minute journey on generally good road infrastructure.
