Pinetrees vs Arajilla vs self contained apartment

Which is best location (ie proximity to beach) between Pinetrees & Arajilla? We plan to do a combo of either Pinetrees, Arajilla or an apartment for approx 3-4 days followed by 1-2 days at Capella. Are there plenty of restaurant choices if we choose the apartment option? If not which is better for a 55yr old couple? Pinetrees or Arajilla? Thanks.

Hi, we spent a week on Lhi and are similar age to you. We stayed at Lorhiti apartments which we loved. It is up the hill from town a little bit but just a short walk by private trail to Neds beach.

We are thinking of going back there. It is very clean and very friendly family owned.

We rode our bikes out to Capella but it's quite isolated from the rest of town so it depends if you like that.

We would consider a couple of nights at Arajilla though as it is not far from anywhere.

We went to pine trees for dinner one night and found it to be a bit more family orientated with a set meal time, so if you prefer a better restaurant feel this may not be the best option although it is quite well located.

There are a couple of restaurants you can walk to from Lorhiti and in any case the staff drive you to your restaurant and restaurant brings you home. This is the way it's done on LHI.

Arajilla is 5 star and much smaller than Pinetrees. So it would probably depend on how much you want to spend. Arajilla is fine dining, luxury etc.... so a different standard to Pinetrees. Self contained is much more cost effective if money is a concern.
