Music at the Red Caboose

Hi there, we are from overseas. I read that there is a band playing in June 2017 at the Red Caboose motel. It says "pay what you want" and asks for donation on their webpage.

1. Can we "pay" at the door?

2. What is a fair ticket price for such an event? I dread to underpay for good entertainment but at the same time, don't want to be extravagant.

Thanks very much.

I can't answer your questions, but if it is 'pay what you want I would think $5 or $10 per person would not be unreasonable.

Gasman, I looked at the Red Caboose website It is apparently the New Holland Swing Band. Assuming you like swing music(big band Jazz Music from the 1940's- think Benny Goodman or the Dorseys, this could be fun- they even give dance lessons an hour before the actual concert. Obviously, if you go for the lessons, you might want to pay more than I suggested otherwise I think $5- 10 a person is more than appropriate.

You presumably either pay at the door or possibly, they pass a basket during or at the end of the concert.
