Grocery store?

Coming to Harbor Island from Charleston. What is the best grocery store to stop at in Beaufort? Or would we be better off stopping at a WalMart Supercenter in Charleston?

Thanks!

You will pass by a large Publix on the right at the Beaufort end of Ladys Island. There is a smaller Food Lion at little further down on the left behind McDonalds.

The Publix is a good choice - look for the Key Lime Pie

Just a note... the Publix moved across the street and is now on the left as you drive from the Sea Islands into Beaufort. The Food Lion is on the right. The intersection is US 21 and SC 802 if you're looking at a map.

There are also Walmarts in Beaufort on SC 170 and one in Hardeeville on US 278 and Argent Blvd.

tiger, you're correct. i was giving directions assuming that they were going TO Harbor Island and picking up things along the way, as we do when we're on our way to begin our stay.

And, there are also Bi-Lo and Piggly Wiggly stores in Beaufort.
