Basketball team in late December

I wanted to get some recommendations for a large group in the evenings in Charleston. We will have a group of around 30 there starting on December 26 for three days. During daylight hours we will definitely tour Fort Sumter, walk waterfront park, walk downtown, walk the battery, etc.. But with the the sun going down so early during that time of year, I’m scrambling a bit for what to do in the evening. The core of this group is high school girls.

Ghost tour? I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Are you staying in the Historic District, if not, then where?

How will you be getting around?

They'd enjoyed walking the beach at Sullivan's Island (ck tide tables) Ft Moultrie c 1776 lies at the mouth of Charleston harbour; Dunleavys, the Pizza Joint & Sullivans for a good casual supper (I'd call ahead)

The Market downtown for shopping.

The Aquarium is lovely the views alone fabulous- beside ferry docks to Sumter and then walk up to the Pineapple Fountain, docks there.

The College of Charleston is doing evening lighted tours at their old Cistern Yard, (you should check out the campus during the day anyways) & there is Colonial Lake beyond that.

And they might even like the Festival of Lights at James County Park or a Plantation Tour all of which I'm sure will have a holiday theme.

Bowling and arcade games at The Alley or perhaps you can contact Hom and get a ping pong tournament organized.

We are staying near downtown. The hotel we are staying in will have a shuttle that runs to town frequently. Otherwise, we will also have our cars if we need to go outside of downtown.

Thanks for all your help!

The Festival of Lights at James Island County Park is the top contender, suggested above.

Of course, museums, plantations, aquarium, will all be closed after about 5:00.

Not sure if the Night Market continues to go after Christmas, but if the days are right, here's another idea.
