Beachfront hotel

Long weekend with hubby possibly in September. Looking for beachfront with on-site restaurant. Budget under $300/night. HVe never flown into Myrtle Beach airport....is it far from area hotels?

Just after Labor Day is arguably the best time to go. Rates and crowds go down while the weather is still very pleasant. Can't comment on the airport but best I can remember it's no more than 30 minutes away from any point in Myrtle Beach.

If you are looking for a quiet area and a more upscale setting, my personal favorite is Island Vista. It's in a largely residential area and does have an on site dining room that is very good. If you want to be closer to attractions and/or night life however there isn't a whole lot within walking distance.

There are many hotels very close to the airport. Hampton Inn and Suites is good and less than 2 miles from the airport. Island Vista is very nice, nothing to walk to from there...and about 7 or 8 miles from the airport. There are also many hotels within walking distance of a couple of attractions (like the Skywheel) and many restaurants. Look at Anderson Ocean Club and Spa, Ocean 22 by Hilton, or Breakers...to name just 3 of many. Very close to the Boardwalk as well. Not sure if they have on-site restaurants, but there are breakfast places close by. Walkable.

Are you renting a car? If not, do look at hotels in the Boardwalk area as mentioned above...with the restaurants close by. You can take an uber or taxi to other places like Broadway at the Beach for more fun/nightlife/restaurants/shopping.
