RV Parking

Hello,

We will be traveling by RV to Billings Montana and would like to make a quick stop in Sturgis. We would like to disconnect if possible and spend a little time there and maybe go over to Deadwood. Does anyone know of a place that we could park the RV for several hours. We are traveling from the east. .

When are you planning this stop? By disconnect, do you mean your toad?

There is very little to see in Sturgis once the rally is over and you don't want to be there during the rally.

You can easily drive your RV to Deadwood and park in one the outlying parking lots and take the trolley downtown depending on the season.

Thanks! We will be there the last week in August. We will be leaving Keystone, and taking Route 90 by Sturgis.

Do you now if it is possible to take the scenic Route 385 into Deadwood with the RV & pulling the car and then get on Route 90. by taking 14A.

Thanks!

You can take Hwy 16A north from Keystone to Hwy 16. Go west to Hwy 385 and then north to Deadwood. From Deadwood, take Hwy 85 north to Interstate 90.

No reason to go by Sturgis if you are going to Billings.

Thanks for your information. We are actually going to Cody, then Yellowstone, but have friends in Billings, Mt that we may possibly visit. We have done the bighorn mountain several years ago, and my husband just does not want to drive back over that mountain with RV & Car. We are also going to Devils Tower.. What are your thoughts about taking 212 northwest to 90 into Billings. is 212 suitable for an RV with toad. Thanks

Hwy 212 is fine for your RV. There is a nice highway rest area on your left as you are coming into Broadus, MT from the east. Watch your gas gauge, not a lot of stations out there. You will rejoin I-90 at Little Bighorn National Monument, another nice place to stop.
