the hotel is on fire -
I suggest anyone who has bookings in the near future keeps an eye on the news
Great pity certainly was a wonderful place to stay when we were there
And on the BBC Scotland news they said they expect to be closed for 48 hours!!!
Two people dead. It looks really bad.
I can't imagine how the hotel will only be closed for 48 hours.
Yes, that's what I thought!
I believe there is accommodation on the Cameron House estate apart from that within the 'House' itself. I'm assuming the 48 hours commment to mean that nobody will be able to access any part of the estate for that period.
Very clearly, the damage to Cameron House itself means it will be closed, either fully or in part, for many months to come.
I reckon a year at least, if! it reopens at all?
Very sad news, especially about the two fatalities.
Report from BBC News: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-42392459
Just announced on BBC News Website, the Hotel, and Leisure Facilities, are Closed “Indefinitely”!
Big knock on effect I suspect.
Weddings I suspect will be the big losers!
Couples probably booked for next Summer will need to start planning again!
