My fiance and I are trying to find somewhere to get married in Pigeon Forge this coming spring. There are so many places to choose from we are a little overwhelmed. I have heard good things about Mountain Valley. Has anyone had a wedding here? It would just be around 8 people attending and we are on a tight budget. I couldn't find any prices on their website. Any other recommendations would be great too :)

Try the Little Log Chapel in Gatlinburg. Our son married there and it was nice and reasonable.A lot of Ministers will marry you in your cabin or in the Park!

If this is the one you're thinking of, all I could find so far was for a weekday ceremony.

I also like Maryann's idea of getting married in the park! That sounds romantic!

One word of warning about these types of weddings, be mindful of the outside noise around the place. Many "wedding chapels" are right on main highways, with little to buffer the noise. We attended one of these weddings this past spring, and I swear there was a loud motorcycle (apparantly every Harley in the southeastern US was in this town that day), 18-wheeler, and/or emergency vehicle with siren on, passing through every 2-3 minutes. It totally disrupted the ceremony. Realize that in mountain towns -- weekend traffic may be much different than what you find during weekdays. And the only other advice I can give you is (watch everyone freak out): Have a nice wedding, but dont go overboard on expense. The whole day will be a blur, and you will barely remember any of it. I have had friends who spent well over $10-20k, and then wondered what they spent the money on --- save your money for the honeymoon, or a downpayment on a home. Good Luck

My Husband & I were married there last Dec. We could not have picked a better place than Mountain Valley. It's back off of Wears Valley Road away from the main drag. Everyone that was involved with the Wedding was very helpful in answering any questions that I had. Our wedding was small also. Before we chose this Chapel the ladies in the office let us take a look at it first & we fell in love with it. We had our pics made with the sunset in the background and they really turned out perfect. Good Luck on your search for the perfect place.

Thanks for all your help :) I think we are going with Mountain Valley. We are going to drive up there and take a look first though. Thanks again.

I think you are wise to check out the options you have before making a decision. Also the other poster was right, spend your money wisely.

Good luck,

Luv

Almost Heaven Wedding Resort looks like a beutiful place to be married. The views of the National Park are awesome! When we renew our vows, that is who we are using.
