Accommodation near Montreal bus drop point

I will be coming by Greyhound bus to Burlington from Montreal in October and wanted to stay somewhere close to the bus stop. Does it only stop at the University of Vermont? If so, could someone please recommend accommodation that is close by, safe and not too expensive. Thank you.

It also stops at Burlington International Airport. Either stop has hotels nearby.

If you get off a the University of Vermont you have the Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton, Hotel Vermont and Marriott downtown. About a mile in the other direction toward I-89 you have a Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn & Homewood Suites. All are safe. Not sure about price, though the downtown hotels are probably more expensive.

Check the distances from the actual drop points to those hotels. If you're looking for walking distance, there are only a couple of choices. The Hilton, Marriott, etc... downtown are 1+ mile from the university. They're great hotels - the nicest in the area, with great lake views and walking distance to all of downtown BTV. Cost is around $200/nite, depending on the type of room, season, etc...

Take Greyhound to the airport (they all end there, some stop at UVM campus first). ethanallenmotel.com is walking distance and the only place around the airport I'd recommed for inexpensive but safe and clean. There's a few other motels nearby that you want to avoid, they are more transient housing. If you're willing to take a taxi or city bus from the airport, the options open up by a lot.
