LAKE or ponds for swimming

I am interested in a nice clean pond or lake that is good for swimming. Preferably a little secluded. We can walk in if it is not too long a walk on a trail eg 1 mile. We are an older couple who loves to swim. Near Bristol and Middlebury. We have been to the Bristol falls swimming hole. Thanks!

Lake Champlain at the D.A.R. State Park which is maybe half hour from Bristol/Middlebury area. http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/dar.htm

Lake Dunmore at Branbury State Park a bit south of Middlebury. http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/branbury.htm

If you google, you can find info on swimming holes more like the Bristol Falls. I know of swimming holes up my way, and know there are some down near Middlebury but not well enough to give advice/directions. But try google and have an adventure -- there is certainly a lot of water down that way.
