Cruise ship stop and tour operators

We will be arriving to the Bay of Islands on a cruise ship stop on November 22 from 7 am to 4 pm. We would like to visit the Kawiti caves and the rain forest at Puketi Kauri. I was wondering if there are any known tour operators that would provide this. We are a group of 5 at this time. Thanks in advance!

This tour operator (based in Whangarei) would most likely be able to organise a tailored tour for you.

Hi, Yes there are local tour operators that would be able to accommodate your group for this tour. You could try contacting Dial-A-Ride email: andysander@vodafone.co.nz or Total Tours email: info@totaltours.co.nz and Website: www.totaltours.co.nz I would get a quote from both. The Kawiti Glow Worm Caves is a cost of $20.00 per adult for the tour payable in cash. The caves are South of Paihia about 30 minutes drive. The Puketi Forest is about 40 minutes North of Paihia and there is a 20 Minute Boardwalk through the Kauri Forest. Your ship will tender into Waitangi Wharf which is where you could be picked up from. This is about 3 minutes drive from Paihia Township. Regards Sue
