Living in Everett

Living in Everett

Hi everyone,

Was hoping some of you can give me ideas as to where to live in Everett. I am thinking of relocating from New York to Washington in late October. What areas are good and what areas are not so good?

Thank you.

They don't like this kind of post so it might get dropped.

Everett is a nice small city. It has a reputation of being nowheresville, but there are several theater companies, lots of good restaurants and good access to parks and rapid transit. It is right on the water so there is a potential for water views.

Where to live? I'd look very carefully at places north of the Everett Events Center on Hewitt. Some neighborhoods good, some not. Some quite bad.

The area south and west of downtown, on the way to Mukilteo, is quite nice. Now is a good time to look there. There are a lot of older houses that haven't been renovated yet but are in good shape with views.

You could also look at Snohomish which is only a few miles east. It is a safer town which has a lot going on.
