I'm sure you plan is very clear in your mind, lol but I'm not sure I understand what you want to do.
So...do any of these scenarios fit or are you thinking something else entirely and I need to bump up my caffeine intake?
-Park the trailer in Cody (after you have come in the West entrance and done Yellowstone).
-Park the trailer in Cody
-Drive out to Sheridan then down to Buffalo, then to Grand Tetons (all without trailer)
-Return to Cody, pick up trailer and head home to Winthrop?
-Take the trailer out to Sheridan, down to Buffalo, over to Grand Tetons and then back home to Winthrop
Sorry Pam, confusing? I am wondering if we should leave the trailer behind in Cody while we visit relatives in Sheridan, and then go back, retrieve it and return through Yellowstone to Jackson Hole area, or take the trailer and proceed on after Sheridan with it in tow and head to Jackson Hole via Dubois. Pros or cons?
While I can understand not wanting to pull a trailer all the way to Sheridan and back if you're going to stay with relatives while in Sheridan where would you leave the trailer in Cody? If you have to pay for a campground spot to let it sit in while you're in Sheridan I guess you'd have to compare it to the extra fuel costs for hauling it to and from Sheridan to see what economically makes sense.
Ok, I guess I was making it more confusing!
I agree with Deb's assessment.
Thank you.Good info!
If you haven't read this already, it has good information about RVing around the Yellowstone Areas.
Pay particular attention to what he say about US14/14A
"For this reason I recommend that you NEVER take an RV in a westbound direction via US-14 or US-14A."Edited: 06 February 2017, 07:05
Thank You So Much!
