Oahu luah

Hello we will be traveling with our 7 month old in September. We will be staying for 7 days. We would like to know where would be a good luah that is family friendly.

Yes, most luaus are kid friendly. If staying in Ko olina then I would recommend either Paradise Cove or Fia Fia at the Marriott as they are close by and you can leave and come back if necessary. The Aulani also has a luau if you are staying there.

On another forum the OP indicated they’re staying at Kings Land...which is on the Island of Hawaii. So, need to get clear on what island they’re actually visiting or if both.

But instead of a cheesy, expensive, long, luau, I’d go to the free twice weekly Polynesian shows at the Shops at the Mauna Lani on the Island of Hawaii. Five minute drive from Kings Land. They’re shorter and if baby loses interest or needs a walk around, it’s easy to do there as opposed to disrupting an experience that others have paid big bucks for. Also no mediocre food or watered down drinks.

The Waikiki Aquarium puts on a fun Luau. They're located in Kapiolani park, a short walk from the Zoo with a stunning view of Diamond Head. Sights and sounds of Waikiki are perfect for 7-month old travelers. Kids of all ages, even pre-toddlers, enjoy the warm sand and gentle beaches. Recommend booking a condo (Banyan, etc) so you can get away from the restaurant grind. Shopping for groceries lets you rub elbows with locals.

Good experience at the Aulani, but some reservations about spending time and a whole lot of money to be cocooned at a luxury resort. If you are up for an Oahu adventure, book a rental car and take the family on a tour of the windward side from Hanauma Bay, stopping now and then to see incredible views, up to the town of Haleiwa for shave-ice. You might even find an old converted sugar mill that roasts their own coffee beans harvested from nearby plantations.

Noelle G, welcome to the forums.

I would not be doing a luau with a 7mo.
