You can't get to the VC, yet. I just got an update on FB and they don't anticipating it opening until early June.

Thanks, so if I drive in on 143 is the road closed before I get to the park or where I can easily walk to its beauty. I saw it 20 years ago in the summer, just passing thru so I thought I would try to see it again. Thanks again.

I don't think there's any way to get to Cedar Breaks without snow shoes. You could park but apparently there's still a lot of snow.

Saw a picture from yesterday, still 4' of snow on the sides of 148 where it is open, and that's the end that gets less snow!

There is one viewpoint along Hwy 143. Obviously on the far south side, but still worth a look if you are going that way. Not sure it is worth going out of your way for.

Even with Hwy 148 closed, it is still possible to access the North Overlook. If traveling on Hwy 143 (from Parowan), the pull off for the overlook is just beyond Brian Head (before the highway turns East). You can see a good portion of the canyon from there, but be prepared to walk to snow.

You can see the location of the overlook on this map: https:/…maps.htm.
