Quick questions...about Center City

Near the Convention Center? Nearby historical sites? Thinking of purchasing a flower show package but limiting flower show visit to one day or half day and seeing historical sites and the city instead (weather permitting!!) for rest of time. Hotel near convention center, but co. not releasing name at this time.

Sounds like a Hotwire deal.

From the Convention Center, you can walk 2 blocks west on Market St. & see City Hall & the Masonic Lodge. Or you can go 6 blocks in the opposite direction to reach the Liberty Bell & Independence Hall. Strolling around that area will bring you to Betsy Ross' House, Ben Franklin's House & Print Shop, Christ Church & many other places of interest.

If you are asking whether the Convention Center and historic district are near Center City, the answer is that they are in Center City. Center City is a two square mile area from South Street to Vine Street, Delaware River to Schuylkill River.

Thank you. Walking the area is what I had in mind. My neighbor went to the Flower Show last year and spent most of her time in the crowded market, looking for stuff to buy. I want to avoid that and see as many historical sites as possible. No not Hotwire, it is a local bus charter tour!

You'll find the area very walkable and all the sites within an easy stroll. Enjoy!
