I live in CA and have a lot of equity locked in my home. I am retired and on a fixed income and looking to pay cash for a home costing about $250,000 or less. Property taxes are very high where I live so I am looking for a place where I can live more economically and still be safe. I would like 2+ bedrooms with 2 bathes approximately 1500 to 1700 sq ft. I like trees and hills. I also have a husband who is in a board and care facility so would need access to that. I do not want an apartment and would prefer the house is on one level. Do you have an idea where I can look?
