3 night/4 day visit - what to do?

We will be heading from Denver to RMNP on a Monday and checking out on a Thursday. I want to get a 7/8 mile hike in one day, but looking for suggestions on what else to prioritize. We are two young 30s who are active, want to hike but nothing too intense. Are the scenic drives worth it? Is there a route we should take from Denver to RMNP that has views and some shorter hikes? Suggestions on the itinerary are needed!

I would suggest driving the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway to Estes Park. There are hikes along the way at Brainard Lake Rec area/Indian Peaks Wilderness and Wild Basin. https:/…peak-to-peak-scenic-byway

Yes, I believe the scenic drives are worth it. I agree, Peak to Peak is a very pretty drive with shorter hikes that should fit your needs!

Be sure to stop at Lily Lake, beautiful walk around the lake!

The waterfall hikes (Alberta Falls, Alluvial Fan) are nice and short. You may also enjoy Emerald Lake trail, there are three lakes along the way. Cascade Falls (7.4 miles) is on the west side of RMNP near Grand Lake, plus you could take the Peak to Peak drive to get there. Check out the app AllTrails. Happy Travels!
