How much time should we allow to see and do some hiking at Sunset Crater and Wupatki National Monuments and to visit the Cameron Trading Post

Wupatki and Sunset Crater is a loop off Hwy89. I advise allowing most of 3 hours so that you can walk and explore some of the ruins sites.

At Cameron TP give yourselves an hour to enjoy a meal and some shopping.

At Sunset Crater there is a very interesting trail that goes through a lava field. Yeah, 3 hours should be about right, although you could certainly spend more time there, too. There is a cinder hill near the beginning of Sunset Crater road. Climbing up that will give you a great view of the San Francisco Peaks.
