What time were you there? The Gap doesn't really come alive until after 10pm.

Having booked here and now reading lots more it seems to me to be a lot quieter than I was expecting. Eating dancing and listing to music with locals is our plan. The more I read the more I am thinking maybe not. There seems a lot going on in Bridgetown so hopefully it's not that hard to get to there if so.

Absolutely NOTHING goes on in Bridgetown apart from the Waterfront Cafe for weekly Jazz nights. I think you are reading about the Gap, unless you fancy the odd Bajan Strip Club !!

Bridgetown???? - only place most visitors would go to would be the Waterfront Cafe --- there are areas in Bridgetown which are "red light" districts --- but wouldn't suggest going there

Best place for late night entertainment is The St Lawrence Gap -- but nothing must starts before about 10.30 pm I'm told

Oh hell lol thank goodness for trip advisor. I have read about the Harbour lights in Bridgetown ?? Maybe miss the red light area 😮 So the town is alive after ten ? Where not looking for fancy bars where looking for good music and fun company. We are there April do they have a out of season etc or just like its weather who knows what goes at the time ?

Black S Harbour Lights will be great for you, but it's not what we call " in Bridgetown " it's on Bay Street on the way to the town, as is the Boatyard , Pirates Cove and Lobster Alive ( Eat Lobster and listen to Jazz ) All good for what you want.

However the main nightlife is in St Lawrence Gap .

After 15th April it is Low Season, so it may be more quiet than say,February or March, but it's still a popular time so don't worry.

The weather is pretty much the same all year round except the nights are getting warmer in April. The temperature is generally between 28 to 31 centigrade in the day and 24 (sometimes 22 at it's coldest in Jan ) to 28 c at night at it's warmest. . The Island is near the Equator so the main difference is the Humidity which is high in Summer in the rainy season.
