You don't tend to see turtles on the beach but you often see them in the sea when you're swimming off Dover beach, I've seen turtles hatching on the beach at Dover before as well, amazing.

Did you see them in the end ? When do the Turtle lay eggs etc. Are they protected here at nesting time or can you see their run to the see etc ?

Turtles lay their eggs in deep nests in the sand --- if you want to be informed as to when there will be a hatchling release by the Barbados Turtle Project you need to get on their mailing list

Thank you. We may get to see some leatherbacks in our time we are there and I will join the add on FB. Such courageous little creatures and so glad Barbados protects them. Looking forward to swimming with them even if its just the one.
