You can get sun all day depending which side of the pool you are at. There are signs saying no food or drink to be brought to the pool, only from the bar.

Thank you Laketyke but surely when you are self catering you must be allowed to freeze water and drink it at the pool????

On your balcony yes but not at the pool all hotels/apts operate the same policy selling their own products is how they make a living

We take our own water to the pool and no-one has told us off. You just balance it by having a soft drink/hard drink/snack as well.

You may get away with bringing your own water to the pool. After all to purchase it from the bar as you should costs an astronomical 50 cents!!!!!!

There is no need to be smart! We will be there for three weeks and if you are drinking two litres each pair day it can work out expensive . Of course we intend to buy soft drinks snacks and the odd breakfast from the bar .

Every place I've ever been which has a pool bar, has had a sign saying no food or drinks unless bought at the bar. Of course, if the pool bar is closed or it hasn't got one, then you'll be fine.

The rule is apparently partly at least to combat tax evasion. If Mr/Ms Taxman stops by and asks to see receipts for your drinks, and you haven't got one, the apartment owner could be in trouble. Apparently...

No, because if you sit by a pool in this situation, then you are in an area in which you can buy drinks and/or food! Inside your apartment or on the balcony you can eat or drink what you like.

Would you take your own drink into a restaurant?

If you don't want to buy multiple drinks, then do what most other people do and just nip back to your apartment when you want a drink.
